Abstract

The project “Building site of parenting supportive” was realized in the Social Zone n. 2 of Umbria Region (Perugia, Corciano and Torgiano) in 2015 with the aim of promoting and implementing shared parenting experiences through the activation of territorial tables in the presence of all the associations operating in the 0-6 age bracket. The project has had the credit of activating links and paths of active citizenship and mutual help between adults and families, in the interests of a mutual contamination and re-appropriation. The profound meaning of the project has been placed within an interpretative framework that certifies on the one hand increasing needs and more or less submerged fragility of parenting, on the other hand the inability of appealing and recalling forms of traditional and tried answers. In the age of “social liquidity” and of the carousel between guilty and blamed, paradoxically the recipes on traditional parenting or otherwise tested by others no longer work: the only change for salvation compared to the difficulties experienced in everyday family life is not the waiting for external solutions, but the progressive reconquest of their decision-making powers and their care duties, in a sort of oasis made of clean listening and of assumed risks. Again, the challenge arises on a purely educational level even with the figures who have tasks of support for parenting, called to activate opportunities for empowerment and self-efficacy.
