Social network, scuole e famiglie: una revisione della letteratura scientifica

Abstract

This literature review general aim to investigate the methodological aspects in 43 articles in investigating the relationship between school, family, adolescents and social network (S/N); while specific aim to highlight the role of the family in educating to a safe use of the S/N, through the analysis of the 12 articles published from January 2013 to March 2017. Several data bases were queried: ERIC, Scopus, Web of Science, using as keywords “privacy social networking school families” and “privacy social networking in Italy”. On 3.043 articles, 43 were analyzed and 12 were revised because directly related to the specific aim of this research. Data were gathered using as analysis criteria: the type of research, the subjects/objects of the research and its issues. The 12 reviewed articles demonstrate the importance of a mediation role of families. The family is responsible, like the school, in educating on digital literacy. Moreover, the authors recommend an active mediation, based on explaining and sharing with the teenagers the risks involved in S/N.
