Abstract – The construction or adaptation of teaching materials is fairly common practice in all special education, but with visual impairment it becomes a daily requirement. It is therefore essential to provide the teacher with more suitable tools and strategies to set up psychoeducational and didactic interventions that are functional and responsive to the special educational-didactic needs of pupils with sensory disabilities. In the following contribution is reported the experience made by the students of the 4th cycle of the Specialization Course for Support Activities in Rome, during the workshop on special education for sensory disabilities, with the aim of sharing good practices and providing useful suggestions for structuring paths marked by accessibility and inclusion of blind and visually impaired children/youth.
