Abstract

Abstract – “Laboratori del Sapere” propose an approach which, starting from direct experience with things, leads students to gradually build subject knowledge. Very important to this construction are the moments of individual written verbalization, in which each student explains his own observations or interpretations of the observed phenomenon. All verbalisations are collected and analyzed by the teacher and used to organize a collective discussion in which the positions expressed are taken into consideration for the final conceptualisation. During the research-training process organized by INDIRE for the dissemination of the approach, the teachers involved used a diary to document the whole process and, in particular, the feedback and products of the students (individual verbalisations, collective discussions, synthesis endings etc.). At the end of the first year, some diaries were reviewed and used the following year as a starting point for first-time teachers.
