Millions of content that take the form of speeches expressing hatred and contempt are shared online every day. These speeches, which connote what is called online hatred, can be found mainly in social networks, blogs, in comments on articles published online, etc. The use of new technological and digital tools has, in fact, created the conditions so that such externalisations can spread extremely quickly and on a large scale and reach a wide audience, with the consequence of favouring the diffusion of further similar expressions. After familiarising with the different facets of online hatred, we will try to clarify its pedagogical implications in order to identify the most functional educational actions to prevent and contrast this phenomenon.
