Abstract

Childcare (0-3 years) is an important and complex educational commitment. The parental experience is never easy, especially when it takes place within the migratory path, because of the inevitable difficulties faced by those who are far from their cultural and family reference points. Early childhood education services have always been an accompaniment and have a duty to work with the family of every child, who, at this stage of their lives, embarks on the complicated journey of discovering the world. This article aims to propose the pedagogical experience realized after the Second World War by Loris Malaguzzi, at the base of the birth of what is now known as the Reggio Emilia Approach, as a model to rediscover and update to encourage the active participation of the family in the life of the school and lay the foundations for building a relationship of trust and co-responsibility between the two educational institutions.
