Abstract

This paper aims to reflect on a series of issues related to the social and material modalities through which teachers try to manage the delicate theme of the involvement of the pupils’ parents in school life. The study will refer to a specific action research conducted in a preschool in Bergamo. First of all, the context and the theoretical-methodological set-up of the project will be presented; subsequently, the paper will focus on the critical issues that emerged and the strategies that have been hypothesized in order to be able to manage the relation with the families with greater awareness. In particular, I will emphasize the importance of constructing a research-training setting aimed at producing a shared reflection, which allows the teaching staff to rethink, analyse, deconstruct and modify their experience, redesigning the practices through which they interact with families.
