Abstract

This paper takes into account recent trend of Italian literature for young readers. Not only the literary productions, but also critical issues of the last decades are analyzed and described. The outcome is an interesting draft, which allows to understand the complexity of this matter: literature, education and psychology offer different critical approaches, but the production is still (even if not always, as in the past, affected by a moralistic intent. Summing up, we can conclude that in Italy the idea of novel as an intellectual play and a travel in a never-land is not yet diffused as educational perspective supposes and sustains.
