Abstract

The Dialogues of the Dead XXIII (Ajax and Agamemnon) and XXVI (Achilles and Antilochus) take the Nekya as a starting point, and they are the only ones presenting exclusively homeric heroes as characters. Although themes are similar and epic traditions are used in almost the same way, they seem to comply with different literary characteristics, as can be seen from their structure and their characters and from the way of arguing.
