A proposito dell' Orestea di Eschilo sulla scena moderna

Abstract

The present article examines contents and methods of a Bierl's essay, recently translated into Italian and updated (Bierl, A. [2004] L'Orestea di Eschilo sulla scena moderna. Concezioni teoriche e realizzazioni sceniche. Bulzoni Editore. Roma). The aim of this paper is also to offer a quick survey of a new critical approach to Greek theatre, i.e. the analysis of theatrical productions of ancient plays on the modern stage.
