Abstract

Quintilian (Inst. or. II, 4, 41) aims to underline the didactic goal of the
preparatory exercises  in the schools of rhetoric. The imitatio fori has
got, during the centuries, many fans and followers, who created, nowadays
too, new types and kinds of declamations.
